ABOUT OUR FISHING CHARTER

Hey, I’m Captain Jordan!

Background
I was born and raised on Bonaire, and I was fishing and spending my time on boats since I was a child. I learned most of my skills from seasoned, local fishermen. Worked on a lot of boats first as a deckhand and slowly made a career in commercial sport fishing. This is my first privately owned boat, and I decided to pursue my passion for the ocean. I invite you to join me on this exciting adventure, and I will share my knowledge of the beautiful island of Bonaire with you!

Skills:
I am a fully-licensed Captain and dive master, Emergency First Responder certified. For fishing, I do lots of trolling and bottom fishing and I tie all of my baits. I am also comfortable in jigging techniques and enjoy that as well, if my guests are into it. On my daily trips, I use quality gear and hand-made, traditional local tools such as hand lines and down riggers, and apply tackle that is traditional to the ABC islands. If my guests request to fish with live bait, then I’ll use a cast net and catch live sardines which we can use to catch a number of different species of fish. I also do deep drops for swordfish, queen snapper, red snapper, amberjacks and other deep sea monsters.

“Valhalla” – our 32 ft Piñero Speed Boat:
I operate on a Latin American 32ft (11 M) Piñero Picua speed boat, with two brand-new outboard Suzuki engines (140HP each). “Vahalla” provides seating space to accommodate 12 passengers, sunroof for the hot afternoon hours, wave guards for a dry and comfortable ride and a spacious lounge area with cushions in the front. This boat was built for speed and high seas. Additionally, I have equipped “Valhalla” with a powerful transducer that allows a depth visibility for up to 2600 ft. We often do deep drops for swordfish on the longer trips.
